Arslan is one of those series which have several different artistic looks. The manga has its own look courtesy of the authors Chisato Nakamura and Yoshiki Tanaka.

The character designs done by Yoshitaka Amano are simply breathtakingly beautiful. I'm a huge fan of Amano-sensei's work, but of all the stuff I've seen of his, I would have to say that the Arslan artwork is by far and away my favorite.

Then there is one more look, the animation style of Arslan. There was a consistency in the style in the first 4 OVA's, but the latest OVA is far more simplified from its predecessors.
